CEMENT
Cement Tiles are joyful, homey, and historical.
At the most critical moment of the 18th Century’s Republican Architectural movement, expert masons and artists encouraged the return of Greek and Roman artistic ideas, Neo-Classical. And so the Cement Tile was born. The new world’s fusion with the old, classical style brought us a unique form of antique simplicity, inspired by big columns, porches, and hand-painted aesthetic geometric tiles.
The style remains recognizable throughout the preserved colonial Americas and the Caribbean.
